Springfield, IL – Officials at the United States Pro Kart Series have been hard at work preparing for the 2023 race season to kick off.  Part of that preparation includes refining and updating the industry-leading prize package that competitors are eligible for.

A new opportunity has been made available to all the IAME classes, replacing the IAME International Final tickets with tickets to the IAME USA Grand National Championship held annually at the GoPro Motorplex.  This event has become one of the most anticipated and unique one-off events in the country. USPKS is proud to partner with long-time sponsors MG Tires and IAME USA East to offer a 2024 IAME USA Grand National Championship entry and two sets of MG Tires to every IAME class championship prize package choice during the 2023 USPKS Awards Ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Additionally, with the new Pro Shifter class added to the 2023 program, the United States Pro Kart Series is expanding it cash purse payout to three categories for each weekend. The payouts per main event for the 2023 season are as follows:

IAME X30 Pro: 1st – $5,000; 2nd – $2,500; 3rd – $1,250 (minimum 30 entries to qualify)

IAME X30 Pro Junior: 1st – $2,500; 2nd – $1,500; 3rd – $750 (minimum 30 entries to qualify)

Pro Shifter: 1st – $2,500; 2nd – $1,500; 3rd – $750 (minimum 20 entries to qualify)

In total, the United States Pro Kart Series will provide over $18,000 in cash prizes each weekend for the 2023 season.

The 2023 USPKS Championship Prize Package will be similar to last year, with cash, tickets to the IAME USA Grand National Championship, IAME engines, MG Tires, and the coveted USPKS Winner’s Circle program are all part of the USPKS Awards Ceremony on October 8.

This season’s USPKS Awards Ceremony will be special, moving away from the same-day activity that has been done in the past and hosting it on the day after the final checkered flag has waved. The move includes shifting the series finale on-track days at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina to a Thursday thru Saturday event – October 5-7 – instead of the typical Friday thru Sunday structure. This will provide competitors, teams and families the ability to complete the race day activities on Saturday and enjoy the prestige of a proper awards ceremony the following day on October 8. Everyone will be invited to a to-be-determined location in the area for the USPKS Awards Ceremony. Series officials ask all those to attend with the proper attire that will honor the top-five drivers in each category.

Online pre-registration for Round One at the Orlando Kart Center opens at Motorsportsreg.com on February 4.
