The United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) official technical inspection committee has released the certified laboratory results from its random fuel testing program conducted at New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP).
Following the conclusion of Round 2, series officials ordered comprehensive chemical composition testing to actively police the rulebook and preserve tight competitive balance. Samples collected directly from the field were analyzed by Blue Ridge Race Labs against the series spec fuel combination of VP Racing Fuels MS98 and Elf oil, alongside six known commercial additives.
The analytical testing utilized advanced gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to cross-reference competitor fuel mixtures against the approved baseline to detect potential performance-enhancing manipulation or illegal oxygenates.
Key Laboratory Findings:
- 100% Full Compliance: Every competitor fuel sample tested returned a completely clean bill of health, matching the official series spec mixture exactly.
- Zero Disqualifications: No illegal compounds, banned substances, or foreign chemical additives were detected in any of the collected samples.
- Additive Benchmarking: The six known commercial additives tested alongside the field confirmed clear, distinct chemical signatures, validating the laboratory’s ability to easily isolate and identify unauthorized fuel manipulation.
